About Us
Our Mission
Little Peoples Daycare promotes loving care in a Christian environment where children are valued as capable and competent. Families can feel safe that their child’s well-being is elevated by creating a warm, positive environment where relationships are built, and lives are formed.
Our History
Little Peoples Daycare has been a pillar of the community since 1974. With humble beginnings, the daycare was started in Peoples Church Sunday school wing by a small group of women that had a passion for childcare. They began with a single classroom. Three years later, in 1977, the new daycare wing was built, offering 6 large classrooms. In 2012, the daycare increased to 10 classrooms. At Little Peoples Daycare, we are not only committed to the well-being of children, but we are also committed to our community.
Learning Philosophy
We provide high-quality care for children with a Christian emphasis, in conjunction with the four foundations of learning. Our educators work closely with our Pedagogical Leads and Programming Director to ensure that the four foundational elements of belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression are being met. Our programs are designed to provide your child with ample opportunities for social, emotional, intellectual, physical development, and spiritual growth as well.

Our Team
Our team is comprised of experienced and compassionate individuals who care about the well-being of your child. Each member of the Little Peoples Daycare team is First Aid and CPR certified. Each classroom has an Early Childhood Educator as well as an Educator Assistant. We believe in on-going development, which is why our staff engages in regular professional development days where they learn new methods of care and stay up to date on childcare best practices.
Our staff love what they do. Some of our staff have been with Little Peoples Daycare 20, 30, and even 40 years. We are committed to Little Peoples Daycare, committed to the community, and committed to the well-being of children.
Nutritional Policy
At Little People Daycare, we follow Canada’s Food Guide. All meals are prepared on-site by our fully trained kitchen staff. Each child is given a nutritious snack in the morning and afternoon, and a well-balanced meal is provided at lunch. Children also have a rest time after lunch.
We are a peanut safe facility.
